Pawze ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the Pawze mobile application ("App") and related services.

Summary

We collect account and pet health data to provide the App, power AI features, and improve your experience. We do not sell your personal data. You can export or delete your data at any time.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information
• Email address, name, authentication identifiers (Apple or Google)
• Encrypted/hashed password (if using email login)

Pet Profiles
• Pet name, breed, age, weight, sex
• Medical history, allergies, medications
• Pet photos (stored locally on your device unless uploaded)

Health & Activity Logs
• Meals, walks, medications, symptoms, weight, notes, water, bathroom, grooming, training, vet visits, supplements
• Timestamps, notes, and related metadata

AI & Chat Data
• Messages you send to the AI assistant
• AI-generated responses
• Conversation metadata and optional feedback (e.g., thumbs up/down)

Care Plans & Tracking
• Care plan details, tasks, milestones, and completion status

Usage & Analytics
• Feature usage, interaction patterns, and aggregated analytics
• Token or system usage metrics for service performance

Subscription Information
• Subscription status, plan type, renewal dates, App Store transaction IDs

We do not collect or store payment card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:
• Provide core App functionality (accounts, pet profiles, logs, care plans)
• Power AI chat and generate health insights
• Create personalized wellness summaries and recommendations
• Manage subscriptions and verify purchases
• Improve performance, reliability, and features (using aggregated or anonymized data)
• Send reminders, notifications, and service messages
• Provide customer support and respond to requests

3. How We Share Information

We share information only as necessary to operate the App:

AI Technology Providers
We may send chat messages, pet profile details, and summarized health data to secure third-party AI service providers to generate responses and insights. These providers do not use your API data to train their models.

Service Infrastructure
We may use trusted providers for hosting, authentication, analytics, and payments (such as cloud database services, hosting platforms, Apple for App Store distribution and payments, and authentication providers).

We Do Not:
• Sell personal data
• Share data with advertisers
• Use your data for targeted advertising
• Share identifiable pet health data beyond what is described in this Policy

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

4. Data Storage & Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including:
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication and token systems
• Password hashing
• Access controls and database security
• Rate limiting and abuse protection

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we continuously work to protect your data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.
• Deleting your account permanently removes your data from active systems, subject to limited backup or legal retention requirements
• Removing a pet profile may soft-delete data until full account deletion
• You may export or delete your data at any time within the App

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have control over your data:
• Export your data anytime (Settings > Data & Privacy)
• Delete your data or account within the App
• Manage notifications in the App or iOS Settings
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID Account Settings

7. Children's Privacy

Pawze is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that such data has been collected, we will delete it.

8. International Users

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. By using Pawze, you consent to this transfer and processing.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the App. Continued use of Pawze after updates means you accept the revised Policy.
